Welcome to "Lancashire leaves”.
The name as it were, “grew” during planning of the site and research into my family history. I would say that in general most of our families’ histories hold a “fable” or “legend” that has been passed down, sometimes contorted or perhaps mistold.
So, embarking on my journey with the knowledge that somewhere in my tree was a “Greek” connection on my mother’s side and possible Scot on my father’s, I began to dig, assuming as one may that the remaining antecedents would be of local East Lancashire stock.
How wrong I was.
